Camera and the Bean Bag

Several sources I have read recently recommend using a bean bag when taking photos with a slower shutter speed.

The camera nestles into the bean bag. The purpose is to protect the camera from scratches when setting the camera on a brick fence or side of building. It also helps secure the camera and reduces camera shake.
