Prayer for Nurse's Week
As I care for my patients today
Be there with me, Oh Lord, I pray.
Make my words kind--it means so much.
And in my hands place Your healing touch.
Let Your love shine through all that I do.
So those in need may hear and feel You.

Making a diaper cake is fairly easy. The cake shown was made with one 40 count package of size 1 diapers and one package of 36 count newborn diapers. Also needed is a package of clear very small hair bands, 12 inch cake board, two rolls of 2-3 inch ribbon, 54 inch square of netting, a cake topper and decorations.
Roll the diapers from the open end to the fold. Secure with the small hair band about 1.5 inches from the end. Arrange the diapers so the smooth edge is visible. Placing the diapers in a 12 inch cake pan makes the project easier. With a helper, tie a piece of yarn around the diapers. Repeat for the second layer using an 8 or 10 inch cake pan. Secure the ribbon around each layer and then remove the yarn.
Place the first layer on the cake board. The second layer on the first. Decorate as desired. Add a cake topper such a stuffed animal on top. Place the cake in the center of the netting and secure with another ribbon.
